Your Dominant Element
a workshop coming up on 9/24
I am so pleased to be able to offer a workshop next Sunday morning at 9am with my colleague, friend and astrology mentor Natha Perkins, from Electra Astrology We first connected when we taught different sections of Tammi Salas’ class The Invitation back in January of 2023. I’ve always been fascinated by astrology, but it felt daunting, technical, and I wasn’t sure where to start. So as I am inclined to do, I jumped in and requested a reading from Natha. Her professionalism and accessability enabled me to get my feet wet, and I began to learn albeit more slowly than I would like, about the placement of my planets, and the meanings behind them. What I’ve gleaned so far is that our astrology is in constant motion, and is at the same time stable in certain ways. I’ve also learned how much I love finding connections between astrology and tarot.
This is why we decided to create a workshop together on the elements, which we will share live and via recording next Sunday.
We often see the same suit come up again and again in tarot readings. We wonder why are cups coming up so much? Do I need to focus in on my emotional life? Or if pentacles seem to be the suit of the day, week or month, does this indicate a need to get grounded and focus on protection and growth of material resources?
When we combine tarot energy around the elements with astrological wisdom around our chart and the planets’ key elements, a wonderful world emerges, and we can combine the two to discover our dominant element, while recognizing all elements come into play at different times and places in our lives.
